When I was in jr-high; before I knew how to use photoshop or corel draw, or even knew how to use computers, I used to – just like now – spend countless hours doing what I loved; and at the time, one of my favourite things to do was draw.

These images are bottom of the barrel in standards of quality and realism, but I while I was cleaning earlier today I stumbled on a bunch of stuff from my past that I had completely forgotten about – I had actually completely forgetten that part of my life, so I thought I’d post them online. By no means to show off, or advertise as my current level of work, but just to give the 13 year old version of me some credit and recognition for hard work.

Handsome Fox was a project I had started when I lost this website (davidsword.ca) for 30-days, but decided not to use after it’s completion – it was going to my my store front for a officially licensed ‘Design & Development’ business – a way to summarize all my abilities on a single page and attract a difference audience for web development. Ultimately, after the 30 days of hard work – designing everything from a full website, blog, twitter/facebook pages, business cards, letter heads, invoices, promo stickers ect, I had creative differences with myself, and liked my current identity (davidsword.ca) more than the new one.

In the future, I might take another stab at it – preferably working collaboratively with someone to get feedback and contribution – we’re all our own worst critics and that might of been Handsome Fox’s downfall – but for now, I’ve already wasted to much time on it, and although I learned a lot throughout the process, I think my extra time would be better spent enhancing this site than trying to start a whole new project.
